Hand-Tinted B&W Infrared Photography-Harriet Blum

Flood Plain
Sunrise

Harriet Blum has lived in the New Orleans area for 36 years and has developed a recognizable style, often described as "romantic peacefulness", "ethereal" and "dreamy". She creates her art using a "tried and true" older-model Nikon camera and infrared film. She develops the film and prints the images herself, then hand-tints each original using transparent oils.

Ms. Blum's work is featured in collections including the New Orleans Museum of Art, Roger Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans, Mobile Museum of Art, the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Loew's New Orleans Hotel, and Oschner Foundation Clinics.

Custom prints and high quality reproductions available in sizes 5" x 7" through 30" x 48".

Quote from solo pianist George Winston: "Harriet Blum's work for me beautifully captures the essence of Louisiana, the energy of the earth itself and her own pure heart."
